The Bunhead Book Club

Service Description

The Bunhead Book Club is a vibrant community of adult dancers united by a passion for reading, a deep love for ballet, and a shared commitment to supporting one another's personal dance journeys through meaningful discussions and mutual encouragement. The club takes place on Instagram (via group chat), with a live meet-up on Zoom at the conclusion of each session. You will be added to the group chat upon registering, and the reading schedule will be posted in the chat prior to the start of each session. Each week (Mon-Fri) we read a section of the book, with questions posted every Saturday morning in the chat for discussion throughout the weekend. At the end of the session, there is a live Zoom gathering to discuss the entire book and socialize with fellow dancers. If this sounds like your cup of tea (or coffee 🙂) join us as we read The Nutcracker Chronicles by former professional ballerina Janine Kovac! From her first role as Fritz, to snowflake, candy soloist, and beyond, she shares the joys (and trials) of years spent dancing this iconic ballet, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the backstage chaos, the magic, and everything in between. If Nutcracker season is your favorite time of the year, get ready to curl up with some hot chocolate and this fun holiday read, then bring your questions to our final Zoom Meet Up on December 12th, where Janine herself will be joining us! 🎄🩰 To join the club, simply: (1) Book into the session (above) (2) Get your hands on copy of the book (Amazon Affiliate link: https://amzn.to/4iWNUH3) (3) You will receive an email & be added to the Instagram group chat!
