The Bunhead Book Club

The Bunhead Book Club is a vibrant community of adult dancers united by a passion for reading, a deep love for ballet, and a shared commitment to supporting one another's personal dance journeys through meaningful discussions and mutual encouragement. The club takes place on Instagram (via group chat), with a live meet-up on Zoom at the conclusion of each session. You will be added to the group chat upon registering, and the reading schedule will be posted in the chat prior to the start of each session. Each week (Mon-Fri) we read a section of the book, with questions posted every Saturday morning in the chat for discussion throughout the weekend. At the end of the session, there is a live Zoom gathering to discuss the entire book and socialize with fellow dancers. Loosely based on their own love story, the novel follows a professional hockey player whose career-threatening injury leads him to an unlikely solution — secret ballet lessons from a talented but overlooked dancer — and the unexpected connection that puts both their careers at risk.
