Service Description

A worship-centered ballet class for adult dancers. For many of us, ballet has never been just a hobby. It's where we feel closest to God, where the music and the movement become a form of worship. Révérence is an hour set apart from the busyness of adult life, a time to worship through the beauty of ballet and to enjoy fellowship with other Jesus-loving dancers.☺️ This isn't a formal ballet class. Think of it as a guided practice of ballet as an act of worship. Sarah Ekstrom will lead you through a gentle barre warm-up, then teach a short piece of choreography set to worship music. The focus is on flow, artistry, and being present with the One you're dancing for, not on perfect technique. Corrections will be very light (really only if something is a safety concern), so you can let go of pressure and just dance. Come as you are, from wherever you are. Your kitchen counter can be your barre, and your living room can be your studio. If kids or pets wander through in the background, they're more than welcome. Wear whatever you're comfortable in. Whether you've been dancing for years or at the beginning of your ballet journey, there's a place for you here. All levels welcome.
